Petworth PorchFest

Description: Petworth PorchFest is Washington, DC’s largest neighborhood music festival, transforming front porches, yards, and community spaces throughout the Petworth neighborhood into live music stages for one afternoon. More than 400 bands representing dozens of musical genres perform across over 150 porches, creating a unique walkable festival experience where families can discover new music while exploring one of DC’s most vibrant neighborhoods.

Visitors can use the festival’s interactive schedule, map, and PorchFinder tool to create customized itineraries based on favorite genres, performers, or locations. Music ranges from rock, jazz, folk, bluegrass, and indie to classical, world music, funk, punk, and family-friendly performances.

In addition to porch performances, a Main Stage at Petworth Recreation Center features larger acts and community gatherings into the evening. The festival was founded in 2021 to bring neighbors together, support local musicians and businesses, and celebrate community through music.
