Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence with a special Family Day at the Library of Congress. Visitors can enjoy hands-on activities, interactive exhibits, and educational experiences that explore the history, meaning, and lasting impact of one of America’s founding documents.

Families can view special collection displays related to the Declaration of Independence, explore the Constitution with Library staff, write thank-you letters to veterans with the National Veterans Memorial Museum, and enjoy performances by the St. Paul VI Catholic High School Fife and Drum Corps. Guests can also visit two special exhibitions: The Declaration’s Promise, featuring Thomas Jefferson’s rough draft of the Declaration of Independence, and The Two Georges, which compares the lives of George Washington and King George III.
