Description: A large-scale Chinese cultural festival bringing traditional Chinese culture, food, music, dance, crafts, and interactive activities to Pennsylvania Avenue in downtown Washington, D.C. The 2026 festival emphasizes hands-on participation rather than simply watching performances. Families can try traditional clothing and HanFu, enjoy festive face painting, learn Chinese calligraphy and paper-cutting, explore traditional musical instruments, play Weiqi, and participate in interactive activities such as chopstick games and ribbon dragon dancing.

There will also be two stages of entertainment, including Chinese traditional dance, folk songs, classical instruments, acrobatics, Wushu, Tai Chi, Peking Opera, and lion and dragon dances. A large food area will feature specialties from different regions of China, including dumplings, bao, roujiamo, Sichuan food, Shanghai specialties, Xinjiang/Mongolian barbecue, and bubble tea.
