National Children’s Museum in partnership with PNC Bank

Description: A special free-admission community celebration focused on creativity, art, and hands-on STEAM learning for children and families. Sponsored by PNC Bank, this event transforms the museum into an interactive art and exploration experience filled with imaginative activities both inside the museum and outdoors on Woodrow Wilson Plaza.

Kids can experiment with harmonic drawing machines, pantograph drawings, bike-powered spirographs, spin art, bubble painting, giant paint-by-number murals, cardboard maze building, and other creative engineering activities designed to blend science, technology, engineering, arts, and math in playful ways.

Families also receive access to the museum’s popular interactive exhibits, including climbing structures, maker spaces, and immersive hands-on learning zones designed especially for younger children. The event highlights how creativity and art connect with innovation, problem-solving, and discovery.
