SportsFest is Gaithersburg’s annual celebration of youth sports, offering a fun-filled morning of games, challenges, and physical activities for children entering kindergarten through 8th grade. The event emphasizes participation, teamwork, and healthy living in a welcoming, non-competitive environment.

The day begins with the SportsFest 3K Run Fundraiser at 8:00 AM, followed by a brief opening celebration and a variety of free sports challenge stations from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Participants can test their skills in soccer, football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, track & field, and an inflatable obstacle course. Kids who complete challenges can earn prizes and event T-shirts while supplies last, and families can meet “Coach G,” the official Gaithersburg Sports mascot.
