Celebrate Independence Day with a joyful community sing-along in Franklin Park, hosted by Planet Word. Bring a picnic blanket, gather with friends and family, and join award-winning composer, producer, and performer Nolan Williams Jr., accompanied by a live band and the NEWorks Voices of America, for an afternoon of music celebrating the voices and songs that have shaped the nation.

Emceed by Esther Ciammachilli, host of WAMU’s Morning Edition, the program features beloved folk songs, American classics, and Civil Rights anthems, inviting audiences of all ages to sing along and experience the power of music as a shared celebration of America’s history and culture. After the performance, visitors can continue the festivities with special July 4 activities inside Planet Word.
